Wet Deburring
Using conventional mass finishing equipment and abrasive medias, we routinely process several tons of work daily. Our equipment ranges from ½ cubic feet to 30 cubic feet in both dry and wet machines. We can process a few pounds or 2000 pounds of work at one time, and always maintain lot Integrity, an important issue with our customers.
With sufficient notice it is not uncommon to provide a one day turn around of finished product.

Parts finishing their deburring cycle are unloaded onto a conveyor bringing them to the cob meal dryer. Dried parts are put into baskets and brought to the passivation line. |
Dry Deburring
Dry deburring is performed in conventional finishing equipment using various types of dry media and select abrasive medias.
This process is extremely effective on flat metal parts that require a uniform finish with no rust or staining.

|
A dedicated line of 6 vibratory machines for a high volume customer who produces several different parts. This gives assurance that lot integrity will be met. |
Burnishing
This process improves the microfinish and metal parts using a dry process which consists of select medias such as walnut shell & corn cob, and brightening agents to enhance the finish.
Dry Degreasing
Degreasing oily parts can be done using dry select medias. This operation significantly reduces our dependency on solvent based cleaners which help to provide a healthy environment for our employees and the ozone layer.
Vapor Degreasing
Conventional vapor degreasing and ultra-sonic equipment is used only when a part does not lend itself to dry degreasing.
Inspection
Our inspection is basic for the service we perform. It generally requires a visual inspection for cosmetic uniformity and touch (feel) for burr removal and removal of sharp edges from stamped parts. We also have 20X microscopes and various measuring devices if needed. Our customers at times loan us special gages for specific areas of concern.
 |
Inspecting finished product for foreign particles after separating parts from media. |
Packaging
Everything that we process, is put into clean plastic bags to prevent contamination from happening. This is another method of maintaining lot integrity.

Inspecting and packing finished product after passivation. |
Delivery

| For your convenience pick-up & delivery is provided. |
Citric Acid Passivation
Many companies are familiar with nitric acid passivation because of the many years it has been in use. However, Accurate Burring Company chooses citric acid passivation for several reasons:
- Safer for product if left in solution beyond required time
- Faster removal of free iron from the surface
- Environmentally safe plus low hazard chemistry
- Replaces QQ-P-35C (a nitric acid process) per ASTM A 967

Passivation Line consists of 2 rinses before being passivated, and 3 rinses after passivation. |
